I’m Andrea Maisano — an Italian photographer, director of photography, and visual storyteller based in Bologna. For over six years, I’ve worked between two worlds that might seem distant but actually complete each other: the analytical precision of operations and quality management, and the creative chaos of media production and photography.

I studied Direction of Photography and Editing at the Accademia del Cinema in Bologna, where I learned how to tell stories through light, movement, and emotion. Since then, I’ve worked on music videos, short films, and creative productions that mix structure with spontaneity — because I believe that great visuals are born where planning meets instinct.

When I’m not behind a camera or an editing screen, you’ll probably find me underwater or hanging from a rock face. I’m a professional scuba diver (Extended Range & Open Water Instructor SSI) and a climber, which explains why most of my work explores isolation, raw nature, and the fragile connection between humans and their environment.

I’m always looking for new stories to tell — especially those that matter. My goal? To use my skills in photography, editing, and visual storytelling to document life, conservation, and the quiet beauty of the wild — and to be, in my own way, useful to the common cause.
